- Granite comes in a resonated and non-resonated form. Resination is a process whereby a polyester resin is drawn through the stone in order to reduce the stone’s natural brittleness sufficiently to allow shipping without damage. If resonated ones stone does not need to be sealed – however there are no tests for resonation – as such from a health standpoint it is better to seal.
