NEW PROCEDURES FOR A NEW VIRUS

COVID-19 - Simple to destroy; but difficult to cure.

SARS-CoV-2, the novel coronavirus that causes COVID-19, unaddressed, it can live on hard surfaces for days depending on environmental conditions. The good news is it can be dealt with effectively with appropriate social practices, cleaning products, effective disinfectants and disinfectant techniques. Washing hands, cleaning and disinfecting your home or business is critical to protecting your health and contributing to the fight to contain the spread of COVID-19. If you have employees or customers in your place of business, your responsibility is even greater than ever.

Here’s what we’re doing to help keep you — and our technicians — safe while completing your restoration and building maintenance projects. Here’s what we’re doing.

• Technicians have been educated and instructed to wash their hands before entering your home or business, and after completing each project before entering their vehicle
• Technicians and sales people are practicing social distancing within our teams and with clients. 
• Handshakes have been replaced by a polite greeting and a wave of the hand.
• MARBLELIFE^® employees are instructed and encouraged to stay home if they feel unwell.
• We continue to monitor the CDC, EPA and Department of Homeland Security for updates on recommendations based on the latest learnings and information. 
• Appropriate PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is worn for each project.

KEY DISINFECTION AND SAFETY PROTOCOLS

1. CLEANING EQUIPMENT IS DISINFECTED AFTER EACH SERVICE

2. PROPER CLEANING FOR EFFECTIVE DISINFECTION

MARBLELIFE cleans the work surface first to remove any mass build-up from the surface, then applies a disinfectant which is allowed a residence time of no less than 3 minutes after application to the work surface to insure adequate time has been provided for the product to perform.

3. EPA-CERTIFIED PRODUCTS

We continue to monitor the latest guidance and learnings from the CDC and the EPA on effective product recommendations. MARBLELIFE^® uses products certified by the EPA as effective against SARS-CoV-2, which causes COVID-19. 4. NECESSARY DISINFECTANT RESIDENCE TIME

Did you know that just spraying a disinfectant and quickly wiping it away fails to provide the residence time necessary to inactivate the virus? The surface needs the required amount of contact time to be effective against this virus. It takes time to penetrate the virus’ fatty protective surface (something soap and oil emulsifying cleaners can take down more rapidly).
